Nar Williams is an actor, writer, and host.
Nar has hosted television for G4, Discovery Science Channel, and Current TV. He’s appeared on Attack of the Show, The Rotten Tomatoes Movie Show and Science of the Movies.
Nar hosts, writes, and produces video content for MTV’s NextMovie.com. NextMovie Daily was nominated as “Best Hosted Series” and Nar was nominated as “Best Writer” for the 2012 IAWTV Awards by The International Academy of Web Television. He also writes and hosts NextMovie Weekend Preview for MTV Radio.
Nar wrote, directed, and starred in the popular comedy web series Fanboy Funhouse, which was nominated for a 2012 IAWTV award for “Best Variety Show”. Nar has produced video series for CraveOnline, Machinima, and the X Prize Foundation, to name a few. His online variety show Heads Up with Nar Williams was honored by the 14th Annual Webby Awards in the Variety Show category.
As an actor, Nar has performed in dozens of films and stage plays. He has trained with theater legends like Marcel Marceau and has acted with screen icons like Tommy Lee Jones. Nar received the Contemporary American Theatre Company’s ‘Artist of the Year Award’ for the lead role in the Midwest premiere of Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero.
Wired.com lists Nar as one of the ”Top 150 Geeky Media People on Twitter” alongside Stephen Colbert, J.K. Rowling, and Sesame Street.
