Pac-Man Comes to Life with Roombas

When the designers from the Research and Engineering Center for Unmanned Vehicles (RECUV) wanted to showcase their Unmanned Aerial System software, they decided that using robotic home appliances to recreate the classic video game Pac-Man would be a cool way to do it… And I agree.

RECUV is a university, government, and industry partnership dedicated to the development and application of unmanned vehicle system with research that encompasses scientific experiments, commercial applications, mitigation of natural and man-made disasters, security, and defense.

Hats off to RECUV for educating the public on the work they’re doing on unmanned vehicles by using a cultural icon and some Roombas. Maybe we’ll see a future project with Super Mario played out by Robosapiens?

    YugiOH,

Do you mean us versus physical robots in some kind of virtual gaming environment? Perhaps we can play Modern warfare 2 on a holodeck with physical androids as our co-op partners! … The future will be freakin’ awesome for gamers, that’s for sure.
