Yup, that’s me with Slave Leia on a leash.
Actually, it’s the one-of-a-kind “Agent Nar Williams” action figure crafted by some of the coolest people on Earth: the folks at Gentle Giant Studios. Tonight on Sciece of the Movies, you’ll see how an action figure is made — from scanning to sculpting to me geeking out.
If that’s not sweet enough for you — how about some vampire action? Last year I awarded True Blood a Nerdvana Award for Best TV Show. Tonight, I go behind the scenes to learn the secrets of vampire effects on HBO’s hit show with the VFX maestros at Zoic Studios.
Plus, we visit a karate dojo to test the science of Spider-Man’s power punches… and I attempt to break a brick!
Join me tonight at 10pm on Science Channel and leave your comments on the show below!

Oh great Special Agent, too awesome. I want to be an action figure as well.
Yeah Garth, pretty much every geek’s dream. I guess you could tell my excitement bouncing off the walls at Gentle Giant!
Just wanted to tell you I started Watching Science of the Movies last week, and I am totally hooked. It’s a great show, and you are a great host! It seems that you have tons of fun doing what you are doing, and it shows. I loved the True Blood segment tonight!

this was my favorite show so far!! seeing you geek out over your own action figure was the BEST! did you get to keep it?
oh, and … will we be seeing more fang action this season?
Thanks Kelly and Narfangirl18,
No more fang action on my show this season, you’ll have to tune into True Blood for that! If you haven’t seen it, definitely check it out.
Nar..hey it’s Blue. Honey I want to see this show so freaking bad!!!! I hate it that my cable provider doesn’t carry it. I especially want to see this show in particular. I love that you got your own Nar action figure, and I’m freaking out over the fact that you went behind the scenes on True Blood..I love that show!!!! Did you ever find out if there will be a webast of the show on the science channel? I’ve been checking, but I haven’t seen any yet. Do you know anyone who could maybe post it on Youtube? Something??? lol. Congrats again on a hit show. You deserve it, babe! : )

Nar — think Pinky and the Brain — the episode was wonderful. You did just geek out all over everything. I bet they spent a week de-Naring all their computers and that extremely cool 3-D copy machine.
So, when do you go on sale?
Hey Sherry!
As of now, I don’t know of any plans to stream the show online. I’ll let you know when I find out… Sorry!
Love the Science of the Movies. You’re hilarious on it. Although I have noticed the blog entries have become less frequent since the show started…
Hey Nar I totally lucked out and FINALLY found your first episode online at ninjavideo.com All they have is the first one..but maybe the rest will follow. Here’s a link to The first episode of Science of the Movies for anyone who wants to watch it, but doesn’t have the Science Channel..like me. : )

I hope to get back to a more frequent blogging schedule in the coming weeks — but I’m still throwing stuff up daily on Twitter! http://twitter.com/narwilliams
Holy crap.
I am infinitely jealous of your personalized action figure. That is some seriously awesome stuff. Ilu, technology. (And you’re right, it’s every nerd’s dream to have their own action figure. Although.. I probably wanted some of the ones shown in the background around the place even more, hah. My collection is currently too small for my liking.)
Great show, man! Keep up the good work! (:
Hey I’m so happy! Nar I found the action figure/True Blood episode online. Here’s the link to watch it! …
