VFX Supervisor John Gaeta Talks Ninja Assassin

Visual Effects maestro John Gaeta, creator of “bullet time” in the Matrix, talks Ninja Assassin with BoingBoing’s Xeni Jardin in this video interview. It’s a great conversation and cool sneak peak into what it takes to be a frakkin’ ninja (some of these moves are straight up wtf!)

Ninja Assassin looks to be one kickass martial arts flick. Produced by Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers, directed by James McTeigue, and co-written by one of my all time faves, J. Michael Straczynski, it hits theaters November 25, 2009.

Ninja Assassin follows Raizo, one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Taken from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth.
