The two hour DVD movie that serves as the precursor to the forthcoming SciFi Channel series Caprica may not hit until April 21, but now that Battlestar Galactica is over, the Caprica push has begun.
Several new clips have been released for the show (the series hits the tube in 2010). Some of the preview choices perplex me, though. Particularly the twenty second clip of Eric Stoltz at a nightclub. Um, yeah… what exactly does this tell me about the show? That Stoltz’s character is socially awkward?
There are several clips that are quite good — and raise my hopes even higher for the series. Looks like Caprica will bring the drama and the science. Plus, there’s a robot refereeing a “tennis” match. Score!

The fact that Polly Walker and Eric Stoltz is on this show makes my spine tingle (and glow). I truly enjoyed Polly Walker on Rome and hope she can bring her awesomeness to Caprica. I also enjoy anything I see Eric Stoltz . I think he’s kickass at playing a villain type role personally.
Visually I think this show will be full of eye candy. I also hope Caprica can touch on many political and social issues that BSG did in it’s 4 season run. With giving us a Cylon origin story.
Plus it would be nice to hear people use the F-Word we have all come to know, love, and use whenever possible.
