Football’s great, but it’s the huge movie trailers that show in-between the game that made millions of geeks everywhere salivate. Here’s my top 4:
G.I. Joe
I’ve had enough of the internet naysayers — although it’s hard after this promo not to join them… Duke’s narration is lame and I really hope Snake Eyes doing a flip over a parked car isn’t this flick’s money shot. BUT NEVER MIND THAT. I am going to spend my time between now and August willing this movie to be good. Yo Joe!
Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen
Now this is a badass teaser. Huge robots destroying things, one of which looks like a huge jungle cat or something. I’m all in.
Star Trek
I’m convinced this will be the summer’s smartest action flick. Stoked.
Angels & Demons
The Illuminati! The Vatican! Things that need to be de-coded! Woo-hoo!

Star Trek will probably be good. The others..eh
I can’t wait to see Star Trek!
Mostly because in the original series you never get to learn that much about Leonard McCoy’s past at all. Plus I want to see him be a really hard medical badass I feel for me he has this mystery to him and I look forward to his origin story.
I am going to see Transformers 2 because the 1st one was fun to watch. Let’s hope the new one is better. Also, May the Will Power of Nar make G.I Joe NOT suck.
Jules, I agree with you about Star Trek. I love the casting of Karl Urban as McCoy — so much different than the original series.
Eboe: Giant robots, special ops squads, and Illuminati hunters not your cup of tea? Or do they just look like sucky movies to you?
Eboe- If anything G.I Joe and Transformers 2 will be total eye candy on the big screen. So sneak in some candy along with some booze, enjoy the AC, and the visuals because the movies do look good.
Nar- As far a G.I Joe my one worry is the following:
Let’s say G.I Joe is really bad.
However since it made a few million because EVEYONE went to see it.
Thinking it would be awesome.
(The trailer does look awesome).
The people who made the movie will think it is okay to make another really bad movie.
Thus taking away from the happiness I had in my childhood once more.
