Since we’ve started a conversation regarding Alan Moore with the re-issue of The Killing Joke, I thought I’d weigh in on how badass he is! You know his work: Watchmen, V for Vendetta, From Hell, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen…
Moore takes his craft very seriously, which undoubtly leads to him disowning a lot of the stuff he writes — especially when it’s regurgitated by Hollywood — and sometimes this “behavior” raises the ire of fanboys. But check out these videos, in which Moore describes writing as spellcasting and discusses how he views his work as magick. Awesome!
If you consider writing, and anything else creative, as magick, then Alan Moore is clearly an Epic Level Spellcaster.
